Went to our first Oakland First Friday as residents and it was quite a hoot with lots of music and food on the streets and open galleries and impromptu exhibitions in every spare space. Music was being played live, or pumped out into the night from a wide variety of dressed up vehicles.
Stay tuned for some info on a couple other artists whose work I liked, but today I’d like to point you in the direction of Ben Robertson, Muasya Photography.
On display were a collection taken on a recent trip to Colombia, in Bogota, Medellin, and Cali. Cathedrals, street art and festivals, but mostly he celebrates people and I think he winds up with clear and spirited work. Check it out: Muasya Photography
